8 weeks to 12 weeks

Kaelin's 1st Super Bowl

Three days ago Kaelin turned 12 weeks.  Some people would consider him three months, but due to the month of February, he is not technically three months until March 2nd.  Every month that goes by, I am able to see how much more he has developed.  Kaelin started trying to sit up on his own two weeks ago and although it is baby talk, he tries his best to have a conversation.  Whenever I go places, people are amazed with how advanced Kaelin is for not even being three months.

One thing I noticed/learned this month, is that Kaelin has a bad case of gas from time to time.  I already knew he got gas frequently, and it makes him uncomfortable; especially when he sleeps.  But I learned which cry he cries when it is due to gas.  I love when I learn which cry is which for him.  It helps for me to ease his pain when I am able to know what is causing him to get upset.

I always thank God for the blessings he has blessed me with.  Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for my son.  I just cannot get enough of my son.  I love to stare at him, and it still amazes me that he is my son!  I look at him and smile, and he looks back at me and smiles.  The look he gives me right before he smiles.  His eyes get wider, then he smiles, and it gives me so much joy.  Although Kaelin cannot speak, the look he gives me says a thousand words.  His look seems like he wants to say, " Mommy I love you!"  Moments like this, I never want to forget.

My super mommy moment:
On Saturday I had to go run some errands.  Before I left, I made sure to change and feed Kaelin so that he would be sleepy and fall asleep while I did what I had to do.  I already knew Kaelin was going to be upset, for he hates his car seat!  As we exited the freeway a minute before parking for Costco he starts to fall asleep.  The second I turn the car off, he starts to scream.  Kaelin is the world record holder for fighting his sleep!  I take out his car seat and put it n the basket, hoping he will go back to sleep.  For those that know my son, knows that he is super nosy.  So the basket being large and Kaelin not being able to see what is around him, did not help.  The stares people were giving as he cried was funny.  Kaelin was fighting his sleep, and he could not see anything..that was double trouble.  Once I got tired of hurting every one's ears.  I took Kaelin out the seat and held him in my left arm while I pushed the basket, and grocery shopped with my right hand.  Kaelin is not light either..lol
As soon as we got back to the car, and I put his seat in the car, why did he fall asleep?
