1st V-Day as Mr & Mrs.

Tomorrow will be two weeks since my husband left for Arkansas, but to me it feels like two months.  At first I forgot what it felt like to be in a log distant relationship.  The majority of our relationship has been long distance.  In high school he left me to go to college out of state  Then he left for the NFL while I was still in college.  I do not know why, but it feels like it was easier then.  You would think with all the technology nowadays, that it would be easier now.  Back then all we could do was aim, text, send pictures, and talk on the phone.  Now we can Skype, tango, and have face-time.  With all that, it is still harder.  I think it is because I got spoiled with being around him so much.  Even when we started living together, and he would be away with the NFL, I never went longer than two weeks without flying out to see him.  It would be too much work to travel like that now with an 11 week old.
This past Valentine's was our  first Valentine's as Mr. and Mrs., and we spent it texting or talking on the phone whenever we could.  Not only was it our first Valentine's as Mr. and Mrs, but as Mommy and daddy as well.  I had went to my dad's to pick up the mail, and noticed Gerald had sent me a card.  I was shocked to see that he remembered to send a card.  He knows I love cards, so I was ecstatic to see that!  Once I opened the card and started reading, tears began to roll out my eyes, and down my cheeks.  He had chosen the perfect card!  The more I read, the more I cried.  After reading the card, I got to what he wrote, and that made me cry even more.  GOSH, I love that man of mine!!  I cannot wait until he is back in March!
