Arkansas Snow

We have had plenty of snow days in Jonesboro.  Most of the snow days it was too cold, and too much snow.  My mom had sent Kaelin a snow suit for Christmas, and I wanted to make sure it got used.  As the snow started to melt and go down, I decided to let Kaelin go have his first snow experience. It was extremely funny to watch Kaelin take a couple of steps in the snow.  Kaelin had no clue what he was walking on, and his facial expression showed it.  As Kaelin kept walking with a puzzled look on his face, he finally decided to feel it.  He picked up a little snow to see what it was, and then he threw it.  After ten minutes, Kaelin was ready to go back in the house.  Kaelin's first snow experience was funny to watch.  I am sure the next time he is in snow, he will be older, and understand what it is.

Time to get Christmas ready

There was a Christmas tree farm in Jonesboro, where you are able to pick your own tree, cut it, and take it home.  I absolutely  love Christmas, and could not wait to start Christmas traditions with Kaelin.  As soon as Thanksgiving is over, I'm thinking about Christmas décor.  It was nice to have my father still visiting us, to help us get the tree home.

As far as Kaelin's first time meeting Santa...well he was not having it, as you can tell from the photo!

1st Birthday Party Part II

As much as I love planning.  I love it when someone offers to throw a party for you.  It was too kind of Randi, Kaelin's grandma to throw Kaelin, his first birthday party.  For someone that had not thrown a birthday party in 20 plus years, she did awesome!  The birthday party was wonderful, everyone, including Kaelin, had an awesome time.  Kaelin's favorite tv show is Yo Gabba Gabba, so of course his first party had to be Yo Gabba Gabba, and his favorite character Muno, came out to hang with him.

Thank you Randi for not only taking the time to plan Kaelin's first birthday, but throwing it all yourself.  We really want you to know how grateful we are, for you did not have to do all that you did. Thank you, thank you, thank you!  You did an amazing job with it all, and I know Kaelin loved it as well!  Thank you once again!
