10 months Later

This past month has been an extremely busy month for Kaelin and I.  We traveled home to California for a week, to help take care of my dad after his knee surgery.  My mom flew back with us to see Kaelin and help me out for a week.  Kaelin and I went to New York to visit his God-dad, and we had a family day at the zoo.  A couple days before we went to Cali, and three days after turning 10 months.  Kaelin took his first steps.  When Gerald would get home, we would try to have Kaelin walk to us.  You could tell that Kaelin was ready for he'd walk as long as he could hold your hand, but as soon as you let go, he would have this look on his face, and then drop down to crawl.  Gerald and I finally got Kaelin to take 3steps, and boy were we thrilled!  After he took three, we had him go for five.  He did five that night and no more.  The next night we had try walking further.  Kaelin went 11 steps! He probably could have went further, but his overly excited mother screamed with excitement and scared him. 

Kaelin was finally able to meet Malakhi.  They shared the same interest in Yo Gabba Gabba.  We had them watch Yo Gabba while their mommy's and friends caught up at dinner...

Kaelin loves swings, but has not yet got the hang of sliding down the slide.  Even when I slide down with him, he does not seem to enjoy it yet..

We kept encouraging Kaelin to walk.  He still had yet to walk further than 11 steps.  My mom would make sure Kaelin was balanced and I would cheer him on to walk to me.  We was not getting further then 11.  Once Gerald got home, Kaelin did it!  He walked!! My mom would hold him until he got his balance and Gerald called him to come to him, while I filmed it.  I was super proud of my baby,  He finally stopped being scared, and did it at 10 1/2 months, he was walking!

Kaelin helped Dada give the dogs a bath
