1st Time at the Zoo

Since we have moved to Arkansas, I have heard many great things about The Memphis Zoo, and could not wait to take Kaelin to it, but did not want to take him to the zoo for the first time without his dad.  Saturday, Gerald had the day off due to a bye week, and we was able to take Kaelin to the zoo for "Family Time."  The zoo was everything I heard it was!  It had been years since I have been to a zoo, and I forgot how interesting it was.  I loved seeing Kaelin get excited to see certain animals.  He would point and make noises when an animal would excite him.  One of the coolest things that happened that day is when we were watching the bears.  One of the bears was taking a swim.  This bear swam in-front of us, and came up out of the water holding his hand up in-front of Kaelin on the glass.  Kaelin touched the glass as well, and it was the greatest thing to see!  The zoo had a huge bird cage, that allowed people to walk in.  I wanted to take Kaelin in with me to see the birds.  Gerald has always been afraid of birds since I have known him, so I was not sure if he would come in.  He said he was not at first, but he came in for Kaelin.  Kaelin watched the birds as they flew over us, and there were some birds standing right by us.  I had Kaelin stand on the floor to see the birds, and when I tried moving him closer to the birds, he grabbed me tight.  Kaelin wanted no part of getting any closer than he was to those birds.  It had me laugh.  We were almost done seeing just about everything the zoo had, when we noticed Kaelin was knocked out.  We all had an awesome family day at the zoo, it was really nice!

1st NY trip & NFL Game

Kaelin's God-dad had told me to check my schedule and see when I could get to NY.  He wanted to see his God-son and wanted me to have some fun with my friend Ashley.  It was so thoughtful of him, and Ashley to fly us out.  We had a wonderful time!

This game at Met Life stadium was Kaelin's 1st NFL game.  Since it was a Monday night game against the Vikings, it would have been too cold for Kaelin to go.  His God-dad got us box seats so that Kaelin could go to the game.

Kaelin had a ball playing with his God-dad.  He loves going through tunnels, and kept going through Terrell's coffee table like it was a tunnel.  So Terrell made Kaelin a tunnel and of course he loved it!
