Him sleeping like this, cracked me up |
As time flies by, life becomes more and more exciting as Kaelin grows. I have recently learned I need to stay camera ready. Deep down I wish my son was not growing so quickly, but love to watch him grow. A day does not go by, that he does not bring a smile to my face.

Whenever Kaelin is sleepy, he loves to fight his sleep. One day I caught him forcing his eyes to stay open. His eyes were super wide-eyed, like he was amazed at something. I laughed so hard when I seen him doing this. Other things Kaelin does when he gets sleepy, he has a burst of energy. He will start talking and screaming. Anyone that does not really know my son, or is not around him that much, would think he is not sleepy. Nope, if you ever see him do this, he will be knocked out within the next thirty minutes; and if he is not sleep, he will be extremely cranky.
I have been going to the gym here in Arkansas for the last two months. While I workout, I take Kaelin to the kids club in the gym so I can get a workout in. I usually get about a good 30-40 minutes in before having to go get Kaelin, for he wont stop crying. The lady was telling me he is hungry, sleepy, blah, blah, blah. I hate when people try to tell you what is wrong with your child, like they know your child. Look lady, you do not allow me to bring my own toys, you wont let him watch tv,, you do not want him to be picked up, you want the kids to be active, but how active do you really think a seven month old will be? I told her that Kaelin eats before he comes, and he is not sleepy. He just is not use to being away from me for more than thirty minute, especially with people he does not know. I ended up switching the times I go to the gym to go later, for the younger girls pick Kaelin up, and do things with him when he starts to cry. Each day gets better and better. Just recently he went a full hour not crying. I was watching him on my phone while working out, and I was able to see he was playing with the other kids. If you could have seen how big my smile was! I was super proud of my baby! When I went to pick him up, the girls were all happy as well for him.
Kaelin is the one crawling on the floor
Something new that Kaelin started doing this month while in his car seat, he pulls his sun visor down, and props his feet up on it. Kaelin and I took a trip to Nashville, TN to visit my good friends. While we are riding, I am singing along to the radio, and hear another voice. I look in the rear-view mirror and see Kaelin is not only singing too, but he pulled his sun shade down, propped up his feet, and he took his socks off. I could not hold my laugh in. He was just a tad too comfy.
While in Nashville, I was mid-deep in conversation, sitting on the floor. Kaelin was playing, and used my legs to stand himself up. As he stood up, he let go of my leg, and was standing up all alone. I turned to look at him, and was in total shock. I screamed, " Oh my gosh Poodie! You are standing!" I think I screamed a little too loud, because I kind of frightened him, and he fell. I then helped him up, and he stood up all alone once again. I quickly ran to the other room to get my phone to snap a photo, and get a video. When I did, just my luck, I had no room in my phone. Sine'a and Alti were trying to help me get a photo, but Kaelin did not want to do it anymore. Thankfully, I got him doing it the next morning. I was too thrilled!
