Ocho

It is crazy what a month can make.  Last month when Kaelin took his seven month photos, the lady was trying to get him to crawl over things since he crawled, but Kaelin was not ready to climb.  He would just stay still and look at the item you put in-front of him, or he would hit the item.  This time, he was crawling over things, crawling to the photographer, and standing up on her legs.  Oh, I guess I forgot to mention Kaelin is standing.  He started standing, a week after he turned seven months.  He woke up from his nap, and was standing in his bed.  A couple days later I had Gerald lower his mattress, for I did not want to risk Kaelin falling out.

Five days before Kaelin turned eight months, he decided he did not want to use his elbows to crawl around anymore, but wanted to just use his hands.  So not only is he crawling, but standing.  Lord help me Please!

Below is a photo of Kaelin playing in his crib at night, when he is SUPPOSE to be sleep.  This is something he started doing a little after he turned seven months.  When it is bedtime, I wont take him out if he wakes up, or starts crying.  So he takes it upon himself to start playing with his stuffed animals until he plays himself to sleep.  While I watched him on my camera, I could not help but laugh!  Usually about 20 minutes later, he is out for the count.  Oh how I love my Poodie!

Kaelin's 1st Flight with Daddy

Kaelin’s second time flying was when we went to Boise, Idaho for Alex and Brooke’s wedding July 5th.  It was Kaelin’s first time flying with his dad.  I love flying with Kaelin, because he is such an easy baby to travel with.  This time, he did not sleep the entire flight.  He more wanted to look around and see what others were doing. Gerald and I would switch off to take a nap if we would get tired, since Kaelin did not want to nap.
Auntie Abby watched Kaelin for us at the wedding

Also while we were in Boise, we met with one of Gerald’s old NFL coaches and went to the lake with him and his family.  That was Kaelin’s first boat/lake experience.  Kaelin loves water, so he of course had a great time!

Kaelin's 1st 4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July in Jonesboro, AR at Coach Harsin’s house.  It was nice to be able to have somewhere to go for the holiday.  Coach Harsin had a huge box of fireworks, and we watched in the driveway as they set them off.  We stayed outside to watch as long as possible before we lost the mosquito battle, and went into the house to watch the rest.  Kaelin is not really at the age to understand or enjoy holidays yet.  Next year will be a different story.  I cannot wait until next year to see his reactions to the fireworks!!
