The Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was in Grenada, St. George.  After being in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for one full week.  A change of scenery was what we needed and of course, a chance to finally be alone.  Grenada was much different than the Dominican.  It wasn't as poor of a country as the Dominican, everyone spoke English, and the food wasn't the same.  Not saying it wasn't tasty, but I ate extremely well in Punta Cana!!

Before arriving to Grenada, we had ran into a minor problem. Gerald and I got to the airport, only to find out that the attendant couldn't locate our ticket. When they finally figured out the dilemma, we were told our flight time was moved up to three hours earlier and that there weren't anymore flights flying to Grenada that day. I couldn't believe what I was hearing!! Our honeymoon was only going to be four days long, and we did not want to leave on the third day and get to Grenada in the middle of it. I requested to speak to the manager instantly. I was trying to hold back my tears, while thinking of a way to blow up the airport. I even remember sending a text to three of my friends telling them, I was going to blow the airport up lol. I was also pondering in my head, how I was not notified that our flight had got changed? I am an extremely organized person. I keep flights in a specific folder in my email. If I would have been notified, it would have been in that folder. After crying to the manager, she had another attendant help us. Thirty minutes later, this attendant finds the EXACT SAME FLIGHT, with the EXACT SAME TIME WE WERE PREVIOUSLY ON!!!!!!!! And she had the nerve to be like, "oh I checked a different system, and this flight came up." I looked at this lady, and wanted to tell her how dumb she sounded, because I had that same flight number and time in my hand, in my phone. I was so relieved that everything was fixed, that I just kept my mouth shut. Gerald and I got our flight tickets, and walked off. As I walked off all I could do was thank God, for working it all out. Oh yea, and of course for saving the people from being blown up....lol..I KID..I KID

Grenada had an underwater garden, that is known as "The Top 25 Wonders of The World"
My Husband & I snorkeling (Dangggg that husband word sure sounds good, uh? YES, I know!

One of the reasons I really wanted to go to Grenada is to see the Water Falls.  I am in love with water falls.  We went and seen the Seven Sisters Falls.  To get to the falls, we had to go on a thirty minute hike in the rain forest.

We decided to be daring and jump off one of the falls into the water

When it was my turn to go, I all of a sudden got scared.  Why? I have no clue! I have been telling everybody how I always wanted to jump into a water fall.  Well anyway..to have a safe jump, you have to climb down the rocks to a flat rock.  That way you can jump out so you wont hit the rocks below.  Right when I was about to plug my nose to jump, I felt myself slipping off the rocks.  I wasn't exactly ready to jump yet either, but I had to go with it.  If I would have tried to save myself, I would have not been able to jump out far enough, and would have hit the rocks below.  Yes I know, YIKES!  Thank God, I made it!  When I finally got to the bottom, my dumb self tries to swim through the current, instead of around it. Boy was that extremely hard and a site to see. Did I mention I am not the best swimmer?  Well ya, I am not.  I end up making it back up to the top.  Only for Gerald to look at my hand weird.  He then ask me, "where did your band go?"  Oh My Gosh, my top wedding band was gone!  It must have came off with the current.  I asked a local to help me find it by diving into the bottom to find.  Whewwww, thank God he found it!  Gerald was calling it a lost too.  I couldn't believe him.  He first was laughing at how I was swimming, and then he said my ring was gone..lol..MEN. But yes, my waterfall failure.

The Reason I Blog

Back when Gerald played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, I was blessed to meet some amazing people.  There was one person in particular who was into blogging, Ashlie Black.  I am into scrapbooking every moment of my husband's and I lives.  One day, Ashlie had told me about how she was able to turn her blogs into scrapbooks, and it's easier since you don't have to do it yourself.  I checked her blog out, thought about how neat hers looked, and how it did seem easier.  I just really never had anything to blog about.  Gerald and I had wedding website that we were able to publish into scrapbook, just like how the blogs can be transformed.  After having the wedding website and thinking about Ashlie's blog, I knew that I finally had something to blog about. THE NEW CHAPTER OF MY LIFE.

Thank You Ashlie, you inspired me!!!

A New Chapter as Mr. & Mrs. Alexander

It is such a wonderful feeling to say my husband, or to say Krystina Alexander!  Thinking back to when I was 15, I never imagined Gerald and I would have gotten so far.  I will never forget the 1st day Gerald and I became boyfriend and girlfriend, or the 1st time he told me he loved me.  We have shared so many memories throughout the past 11 years, but our wedding topped it all!! It opened up a new door for memories as husband and wife.

Gerald and I officially married, March 9th, 2012. We wanted to make sure since we were having a destination wedding, that our marriage would be legal. Which is why we married before leaving the country. Our pastor (Pastor David Blouin) in Orlando, FL married us at our church. Although that day was our "official" marriage date. Gerald and I discussed that we would celebrate the date of the marriage ceremony in front of everyone as our wedding/anniversary date. When we were marrying at the church, all I could think about was how my mom wasn't smiling at me, and how my father wasn't there to walk me down the aisle. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to be getting married, but it just was not the same. I could not wait for our real wedding to take place in couple of weeks.

My wedding day was a fairytale come true. My mom has always called me a princess since I was a little girl. I always loved to watch Disney Princess movies, and wanted a prince charming. That day, March 24, 2012, I felt like a princess who was marrying her prince charming-Gerald Alexander. I am grateful for all our family and friends that were able to attend our destination wedding!
